About our Driving School and Instructors
A Better Choice was founded in 2003. Since that time, we have trained thousands of new drivers of all ages and learner types. We are beginning to train the children of many of our former students. We understand that everyone is different and use a variety of methods to ensure that our students are getting the most from their driving school experience. We put safety first and use modern up to date technology to help in the learning process. We train both TEENs and Adults.
Oral founded A Better Choice in 2002 after almost 20 years of government service as a U.S. Marine, Border Patrol Agent, and Special Operations Officer. He is the Training Manager and Adult Coordinator. He is married to Lynette and together has five children and nine grandchildren. While Oral ensures that students receive the highest quality instruction available, Lynette serves as the office manager and believes that customer service is the most important aspect of any business. Oral's tip for being the best driver you can be; "Being successful as a driver is the same as being successful in life; look well ahead and prepare early for what's coming."
Mickey was the first person to be hired by Oral after starting A Better Choice. Mickey is married to the love of his life, Bridgette, and they have two sons. Mickey is an Investigator with the Public Defenders Office and has a degree in Social Work. Mickey loves teaching in the classroom and sharing life experiences with his students. Mickey's driving tip; "Stay out of the left lane unless you're passing," and his favorite quote from Talladega Nights is "If you ain't first, you're last."
